Model register
- Pricing engine (pricing-v1.0) — Weight-based line-haul model with distance bands, metro labor indices, seasonal multipliers and method comparisons.
- Distance model (distance-v1.0) — Great-circle distance between city-center coordinates with a tapering circuity factor, published as an estimate.
- Home size profiles (home-size-v1.0) — Weight and volume ranges per home size, used as estimating assumptions rather than measured averages.
- Route priority model (route-priority-v2.0) — Internal 0–100 prioritisation score deciding which routes get an editorial page. Not search volume, not migration data.
- Guide data modules (guide-data-v1.1) — Tables inside our editorial guides are recomputed from the live pricing engine over our full published corridor set, so guide figures cannot drift from the calculator.

How we label claims
Before publication, every sentence is classified: model output, model assumption, sourced fact, product fact, or general explanation. Empirical statements about market behaviour we cannot evidence are not publishable, so figures on route pages are labelled modeled, analyzed, or estimated rather than observed or surveyed.
- Model output — A value calculated by the Moving Cost Advisor pricing model.
- Model assumption — An internal input: weight profile, circuity, seasonality, labor index, rate band.
- Sourced fact — An external factual claim backed by a registered authoritative source.
- Product fact — A verifiable fact about Moving Cost Advisor itself.
- General educational statement — Low-risk explanation that claims no route-specific empirical knowledge.
Claims we do not make
- We do not quote national average moving costs as a measured fact.
- We do not publish carrier tariff rates we have not been given.
- We do not describe our route scores as search demand or migration volume.
